Opened my laptop today and I was looking around to see what is happening in the world right now, and I see a video of a teacher that promotes ChatGPT in his class.
A 5th-grade class.
He wrote with the help of ChatGPT a screenplay for children. He told USA Today that his job is to prepare the children for the world and to know how to work with an AI.
And I have to agree with him on this part. Even if there are some pros and cons regarding using this technology, I think we should all know how this thing works.
Is better to let children explore different kinds of options that they have. The world needs to be explored in many ways. And ChatGPT is part of the new reality of the whole world.
Let’s take healthcare for example.
ChatGPT was asked to a health article and a publication asked a preeminent endocrinologist to check it — and he actually around 18 errors.
What does this tell us? That the system is not perfect and that we need to be objective. There comes the need for clarity. In this world, everything needs to be consumed in moderation.
I don’t think that ChatGPT is this oracle that has all the answers and beats people in creativity and other stuff. That is why I don’t encourage anyone to go full-in with this AI.
I think that ChatGPT is a source that has access much easier to what has been created already and sometimes can help us. But, I still keep my opinion and I will advise all of you to preserve your books.
They will help you to have a clearer vision of the future.
Now, if a 5th-grade child can play a script generated by an AI why Netflix and HBO are not doing it already?
Shockingly, but I think in the next years we will see actors thanking ChatGPT at the Oscars for writing the script of the movies that they played in. Maybe it sounds funny right now, but this is where we are going.
ChatGPT is a force and is becoming more and more powerful each day.
And yes, there will come a time when this house power will alternate between human screenwriters and ChatGPT screenwriting.
